Set amongst old growth trees in the Langley country side, Redwoods Golf Course offers breathtaking mountain views, beautiful scenery and the peaceful sounds of nature. The diverse selection of holes offered at Redwoods Golf Course ranges from links style open and undulating fairways, to tight and narrow forest lined holes.
As you setup to take your first tee shot, you can breathe the fresh country air and immediately the serenity of the course begins to fill you. Exhale as you tee off from the first hole’s elevated tee box to start your round with an over 400 yard par 4. Continue on to the truly unique second hole where you’re confronted with the choice of laying up on the elevated fairway or crushing a drive blindly downhill to the green. Be careful as this hole is quite narrow and stray balls will be drops.
Some relief arrives at the third hole par 3 playing 160 yards from the white tees where players can reassess their game and strategy, for this is only the beginning and Redwoods has many more unique and exciting holes to play!
Our favourite hole at Redwoods for making a par or better was the short 319 yard, par 4 on the 10th hole. With an accurate tee shot cutting across the slight dog leg, it’s possible to reach the green on the first shot. However, the steep slopes of the green (and potential flag placement) do not make for easy putts.
A few holes later you reach the signature hole of Redwoods Golf Course. Hole 13 is aptly named The Pinnacle since you tee off from elevated tee boxes and on a clear day you get sweeping views of the forests and mountains surrounding the course. This 375 yard par 4 ranks fourth hardest on the course and this relatively narrow hole has water and sand hazards that come into play off your tee shot.
Finishing your round of golf at Redwoods Golf Course lands you on the par 5, 478 yard 18th hole. This links style hole brings your round to a close with sweeping views of many of the previous holes, the coastal mountains and the clubhouse behind the green.
Beautifully maintained fairways at Redwoods Golf Course will reward the golfer with precise drives and approach shots, while the consistent, fast rolling greens allow for dependable and accurate putting.
At a total yardage of 6162 from the white tees, moderate elevation changes and only two long hikes between holes, the walk-ability of this course is quite doable and will provide some premium scenery along the way! The facilities at Redwoods Golf Course consist of the par 71 course itself, a driving range with covered and heated stalls, a practice putting and chipping green, the golf shop, banquet and wedding facilities and the licensed Redwoods Grill.
Redwoods Golf Course has a full featured website where available tee times can be checked and bookings can be made up to 365 days in advance. You can review the scorecard and get more details for each individual hole including the golf pro’s advice. For a great deal on Sunday afternoons, check out Redwoods’ Golf & Dine Package which includes your green fees followed by a Chef Selection buffet dinner at a significantly reduced rate.
Redwoods Golf Course is open all year round and is highly recommended for an experience like no other. The harmony of the course with its natural surroundings provides a challenging but enjoyable golf experience for players of all skill levels, while also showcasing some of the beauty of British Columbia.
