Tiger Woods out of top 100 in world golf rankings for the first time since 1996

VIRGINIA WATER, England — For the first time since 1996, Tiger Woods is not among the top 100 golfers in the world ranking. Woods, who hasn’t played since he withdrew from the Farmers Insurance Open on Feb. 6, falls to No. 104 this week. The last time he was out of the top 100 was on Sept. 29, 1996, when he was at No. 225. DORAL, Fla. — A month after he returned from his curious leave of absence, Dustin Johnson was posing with another big trophy. In a power show Sunday on the Blue Monster, Johnson was flawless on the back nine and blasted two big drives to finish off a 3-under 69 and win the Cadillac Championship for his second World Golf Championship title.
